Wheeee!! I've just had the most amazing week! No boring work experience for me - instead, I wrote to a graphic design company, to see if they'd let me work with them for a week! :D

On monday, we arrived half an hour early, and had to wait in the car for a while. Jack and Em were dropped off at school for 8.30, and I wasn't needed until 9. When I got inside, I met the people I had emailed, and was introduced to the rest of the company-people. The guy I had to work with showed me a load of interesting stuff, and some of the programs he was testing. Then, horror of horrors, he discovered that I don't like making decisions.
"Not to put pressure on you or anything, but this could be seen by hundreds of people.."

I'm fine with making choices for myself, as he saw later in the week, but when it's going to affect someone else.. RAWR. Can't do it.

Tuesday, I did the same thing, but he got me started on a project. I had to design a front cover for a magazine. I decided that the theme for my magazine was going to be "Character Design" and my Dad dared me to put the name of it as "Random Stuff". Turned out I got quite attached to the name, anyway.. xD

Wednesday, I stayed in the office again, and worked on my project. I had to keep running downstairs to find some guy in a faded pink t-shirt and arsenal screensaver to check if some posters were okay. They took a lot of tweaking until he was happy.
I started colouring the cover of the magazine, and (WOOT) got to use Photoshop. Admittedly, it was an old version.. like.. 5 or something, and it was very similar to Paint Shop Pro.. but it didn't take me too long to figure out how to use it.

On Thursday, I wasn't in the office at all. I went downstairs to meet the printers, and they showed me how all the inks went onto the page to make the final picture. It looks like a boring job, but they had a lot of skill..
After that, I folded boxes all day. MY HANDS ACHED FOR HOURS AFTERWARDS. On the other hand, I had a good laugh at the fact the boxes were for "Cat Catheters, Sterile" or, as I learned in French, "Sonde Chat Stérile". HAHA.
But seriously. 25 catheters per box. 250 boxes per big cardboard box. We managed to fill about 7 boxes.. and only got about a fifth of them done. WHO THE HELL NEEDS THAT MANY SONDE CHAT STERILE?

On Friday, I finished up my project, said thankyou to everyone, and went home... WHERE I HAD MAH BIRFDAH PARTAY! St. Trinians themed, and a LOAD of fun. ^^


And now for something completely different.

MonkeyBird25 on DeviantART won our "Near Haters" competition, and I had to give a prize. That was ages ago, while exams were still on. So, It's late, and all, but I'm really glad it's finally finished. There are some things I'd probably still tweak, but I don't want to incase I somehow make a mess of it. D:

Hm.. so maybe I WAS a little over-enthusiastic about my RS exam.. meh. It went well, anyway, which was what mattered! In fact, it went very well.. but I'll stop now, before I start spouting rubbish again.
Maths went well, too. So did French. 6 exams down, 17 more to go. ARGH.

ICT revision is done. Just English Lit now.. maybe I should be studying. Yes. Study is good.

Yes, I am on a complete Placebo-loving-week. I got an MP4 (which doesn't turn on, unless you plug it into the computer, and then unplug it). I also got a new desk chair, which I'm really pleased about. I CAN ACTUALLY SIT DOWN WHILE ON THE COMPUTER!!!ONE

Finished my IT coursework ...and the teacher is seriously scaring me. He keeps popping out of nowhere to tell me he's sent me an email. To be honest, I couldn't care less. Why won't he leave me alone!? o,o

Cleaned out my whole laptop - much nicer now... though I should start backing up my files every so often. I'm so lazy at doing that.

My sister got into the UK chess challenge finals! It's so cute! (Although I managed to beat her easily today, so hope she'll be okay tomorrow.. xD)

I'm making a t-shirt... bought this cheap old thing for £1.50, and I'm modifying it.. well... with 3D paint. Akane, the girl in my icon, is on it, at the bottom left. Right, when you're looking at me. I didn't want to put the image in the middle - I felt like being creative! The top is white, and the image green. It's drying at the moment. I have to finish off all I couldn't do today, tomorrow. Exciting!

Also, revision is boring. Got two French exams on Wednesday (nothing to worry about there) and also RS on the same day. Honestly, we do the same amount of work for RS as we do for every other subject, and we only get half a GCSE at the end of the two years! How unfair is that!?

I got the pictures from the photoshoot about two months ago!! I LOVE THEM. SO MUCH. Pictures of me under the cut... 'cause no one wants my face all over their friends page.. and I haven't included the group ones, 'cause people might not be happy with that...

Suuuu.... many things have happened this week. Cosplay was brought to our small town, so we had a lot of fun there... turned out over 100 people were there!! I couldn't believe there were actually that many people who liked manga where we live!
So I cosplayed Girl!Edward Elric.. Automail and all. Unfortunately, people just thought I was doing a really crap crossplay, instead of a COSPLAY of a female character. ARGH! xD
Issy cosplayed my Winry, Chole went as Princess Ai, and Laura made a REALLY cute Misa! Some weird guy asked Winry, "WHAT SIZE IS YOUR WRENCH!?" She didn't actually know, and gave it to him to look at.. and then he was like "OOH A 7/8"" ...or something. I'm no expert in wrenches. Then she was all: "Is that good?" and he said "VERY" and went away.
Then I got called up for my cosplay, and I had to say my name and age, and everything. Then I said "I'm cosplaying Edward Elric!" Then there were cheers. Then I realised that I hadn't said GIRL!Edward. So I shouted "I'M A GIRL!" and the guy with the microphone laughed at me. It was head/palm live action movie time.

Hm. I had my Art GCSE yesterday. Everything went great! I finished with 40 minutes to spare, too. :D
I don't think the art teacher likes it, even though I got a lot of comments on it from other peoples. She hates anime.. AND IT WASN'T EVEN ANIME. I mean... kinda. It was based on the work of Roy Lichtenstein, and Pop Art. She can't say I didn't do my research!!! xD

I haven't been online properly in aaages. I go on at school, but I can't log in there, and can only leave anonymous messages.. :( Also, nobody interesting is on msn when I DO get online.. ¬^¬

Something weird has happened to me too... I CAN'T STOP DRAWING!! It would help if I drew more observational stuff for my art, but it's all manga stuff.. TITS, and that. (The Isei Taishita Saga, before you go thinking I'm drawing boobs) xD We call it TITS cause it makes people laugh. And it's easier to say than the real name, which nobody can pronounce.

Nothing much happened today. I got yelled at for not putting my cup in the sink when I was just about to. When I replied "yes, I KNOW," I got a faceful of spit for 'answering back.'
Apart from that, nothing much happened today. I boycotted tea because of it - how could I be expected to sit in a room full of people who will just stare and make me feel uncomfortable?
I had just eaten a bowl of crisps and a muffin, anyway, (late lunch) so I wasn't hungry.

I spent the day working at art. I finished my "Communication problems between teenagers and parents" page.. (Ironic, much?) and the one about using words in art. Then I did some more on expressions. That's all good at the moment, no worries there. The only thing that worrying me, is what I've thought of just now - my IT. It needs to be emailed to my teacher before next Tuesday, which means I have just over a week to do a whole project. I don't think I'll get it done, somehow.

MY PHONE IS WORKING!! After about a month of not being able to receive or send messages, I finally got some through, and was able to check my balance - I guess this means it's working again! I also got an email, which is a hint that that might start working again, and I logged onto MSN, and talked to Lew for a couple hours. Discussed the manga, and such things. Seems he's not angry at me for whatever reason! So YAY - I have friends! xD

Microsoft Office is working again! This makes me happy! I got tired of having to restart my computer every time I accidentally clicked Word, instead of Wordpad. I cleaned my desktop into one folder, so everything looks cleaner, and you can actually see Mello and Near now! My computer is so jumbled - most of my music is under "My Videos", "fma episodes" or "new folder". It doesn't make any sense, even if I know where everything is. Maybe a more organised computer will make my organisation and timetabling skills better?? Who knows?

I have only one more thing to say, before I go to bed/write fanfiction, and that is - MSI is awesome. That is all.

For some reason, I can't send or receive emails... Dad's swapped to uk2, and I think I might have to change too. Whenever I try to email someone, the email always gets sent back to me. Whenever I'm away for a week, I get a crap load of emails from youtube, but this time, I didn't get any. That's something I've got to sort out... changing my email address on all the various websites I'm on..

Other than that, my week has been great. Surfing was loads of fun, though I looked like a knight straight out of Monty Python in my wetsuit. The cousins weren't half as annoying as usual, and I generally had a brilliant time. There wasn't that much rain, either.
One night my auntie wore her pajama top to the pub.. so we all took tuns with wearing it throughout the night, much to the embarrassment of my youngest cousin.
"People will think you can't afford CLOTHES!"
He's hilarious. Wouldn't stop quoting scary movie 2. We tried to get this waiter to try on the pajama top, but he looked so scared, I felt quite sorry for him!!

Don't you hate it when you're watching something on TV, and someone just comes in, and turns it over. TO SOMETHING THEY'VE ALREADY SEEN ABOUT FOUR TIMES?
My brother can be really frustrating when he wants to be.

Now I'm back, I'm not looking forward to all the revision that awaits me. (fun fun fun). I've got to finalise (finalize? American spellchecker?) my ideas for the ART final exam, and I haven't started on history yet. That's for tomorrow, though. For now, I'm watching "Lucky Number Slevin" then off to bed.

(It doesn't help my work that I've got this Mello/Matt fic in my head that won't go away. It's a continuation of the one I never did finish, but set after the deaths of Mello and Matt... somehow, in my head, they're still alive. I'm going to have to work that one out.)

Well... I havn't posted anything in about a month... (hey, at least it's not as bad as my youtube - 8 MONTHS!) ...so I decided I would put something up, just so that I can say I have. ^^'

I'm in the middle of doing a picture of Mello and Matt. It's far from finished, but I really want t post my progress pictures up here, and hopefully get some advice as to how to continue. It's only my second time using PaintShopPro, and I'm still trying to understand how it works!

All done by that funny bobbly thing in the middle of my laptop.. I don't even have a mouse! (well.. it's in a drawer somewhere...)

Picture contains nakedness and sex. But hey, what can you expect!? Nothing's obvious, though.. they could be having a nice naked hug, for all I know. (You CAN see Matt's arse.. but that should be good news, 'cause you never get to see it in any doujin! He's always got trousers on..)

The fight for the potato peeler continues!

I'm woken up from peaceful dreams in which I unplug my computer repeatedly, to find that my computer is still plugged in, and it MUST have been a dream.. odd. I discover that there is nothing for breakfast, and content myself with a smoothie and chocolate.. mmm..

Suddenly, there are loud screams from the kitchen, and my sister comes crashing into me with a huge bag of potatoes in her hand, quickly followed by my brother, wielding the potato peeler, and yelling. Of course I am quite taken aback. (That's not to say it's not a regular occurance for strange things to happen in my house..) They turn and run back into the kitchen, where I hear: "NO!!! LET ME DO IT!! HE'S DOING MORE THAN ME!"
I face/palm'ed.

The rest of today has been spent clearing my room of some stuff (My drawings are NOT junk) and avoiding going downstairs, where i'll be forced into working amongst the madness. I've already had to deal with people bursting into my room singing made-up words to the tune of christmas carols and dancing. Oh, the madness that is my house.

Well well, Christmas is coming up, and I don't even know what I want! I saw a Mello vs Near shirt on eBay, but I don't think the parents are convinced, somehow! "What's your obsession with death, Katy?" "It's Death NOTE, Mam..." xD

We broke up from school yesterday.. and although I have work to do, (damn you coursework) it means I can be online a lot more. How I envy those people who can post once a day, and ALWAYS have something interesting to say!

And plans?

Well i'm still in the planning process of a new fic.. a hugely long one, that follows Matt and Mello through their whole lives. Although my plans for this holiday include work, fic, christmas presents (OMG I LIEK HAVE 2 DRAW A WHOLE CHAPTER OF MANGA 4 MAH FRIEND!) and more work... i'm already thinking half of it isn't going to get done. It always happens that way.

At least my hair smells nice. :)

Started drawing Mello in class one day, decided i liked it, and wanted to carry on.. but i hate ruining a drawing i like by drawing too much on it, so i scanned this drawing, meaning to print it off, and work from that. (then it wouldn't matter if i messed it up xD)
Then i thought.. why not record what i'm thinking as i go along? *shrug* so here goes! xD

This is the first sketch i did.. even before i got my printer/scanner! xD (actually, that was only a couple weeks ago) :P
I did it in some class or another.. can't remember which, but it must have been boring! xD

It's hard to explain to people what you are planning, without drawing it.. and the drawing was what i was struggling with in the first place!
If you say, Mello's standing up, Matt's got his arms around his waist, hugging him... SOME people *glares* get the wrong idea, because they are so obsessed with sex.. and then i have to make it up to them by drawing sex.. *sigh*
But it was hard to explain my ideas, so i was left to 'go it alone' :(
Then what did i wan't Mello's hands doing? Where did i want Matt's hands to be? Should he be holding anything? These were the questions that ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED through my mind.
~ Mello could be holding a gun in his left hand.. maybe dropping it onto the floor, feeling defeated...
~ Holding his rosary...
~ Matt has one hand on Mello's chest
~ the other hand trying to pull the gun away from his head?

Then i wanted a sad quote.. i found quite a few on 'ze inturdnets' but nothing short..
i eventually made this one up:
"Walking away from you is like putting a gun to my head, and just WAITING to pull the trigger.."
I think it shows the emotions Mello must have been going through, not leaving Matt once, but then a second time just before their deaths. *sob*
He knows he has to do this to save the world from Kira, and that comes before anybody's lives, even his own. The tension in the air while waiting, knowing you are going to die, could have been how he felt when leaving Matt. (unless Mello is a heartless unfeeling bastard who actually doesn't care about ANYTHING!) xD *le gasp*

Then came Matt. I had no idea how i was going to position him..
I could have him, as originally planned, facing away from the person viewing the picture, or i could even have Mello walking away, and him reaching towards Mello from behind.
I liked both of these ideas, and found it hard to choose. So i scanned, printed off two copies, and did both! xD

yeahah.. so i cleared out my journal - only had a few posts, anyway - and am starting again. It's been a long while, about a year, and my writing has improved like "WOW!"

...but it's still crap XD

I hope, if anybody is reading this, that you will take the time to look at some of my work, and give me advice/concrit XD It would be greatly appreciated!

I draw, and write, but i'm not sure on the rules of exactly WHAT you are allowed to upload here. How "graphic" is it allowed to be!?
